A beautiful late 19th century Italian Grand Tour carved shell cameo, c.1880–1900, depicting the Three Graces – daughters of Zeus traditionally associated with Splendour, Mirth and Good Cheer.
The intricately carved shell is mounted on an ornate patinated spelter tripod stand, creating a wonderfully decorative antique piece with real presence.
There is a small hole to the shell, visible in the photographs and reflected in the price.
